Jimmy Chamberlin NEWS
We actually have some actual news
1: Chamberlin will playing some more shows with Frank Catalano, in support of their forthcoming album
2: We asked Tyson Meade for an update on his album (feat Jimmy) and he delivered. Intriguingly, the most recent* addition to Belly Corgan's persona non grata list, Bongo-Master and 'studiodog' Kerry Brown, is producing the record;
*no official word that the current hiatus of the Smashing Pumpkins represents the addition to the list we're all hoping for. But here we remain eternally optimistic that it's indicative that Corgan has finally come to his senses and fired Byrne.From the Kickstarter update: "The good news is that I go to LA next week to finish mixing the record with my pal Kerry Brown who just worked on the upcoming Afghan Whigs record. The release date is April 22nd. Jimmy Chamberlain contributed three drum tracks to the record. To say that I got emotional when i heard the tracks he contributed is an understatement. They are GODLIKE! Hail all to Jimmy..."

Tyson Todd Meade... Updatearama
Think this video gives a good sense of some of the reasons Chamberlin may have chosen to work on Tyson Meade's new record...
THIS LAND PRESENTS: Tyson Meade from THIS LAND PRESS on Vimeo.
In other news, in his most recent update for backers of his kickstarter campaign, Meade writes;Earlier this year I worked in my dear pal Trent Bell’s recording studio, and he has already mixed several of the songs. He clearly put his heart into it, and his personal commitment to this record has touched me deeply... I can say the same for Jimmy Chamberlin’s contributions. When I first heard his drum work from the first track he and I collaborated on, I cried. I knew that whatever Jimmy would contribute to this record would be amazing, but the way the songs he and I have worked on have turned out demonstrate just how much of his heart he put into this project. WOW is really all I can say, except to add how much I love Jimmy as well!

Jimmy Chamberlin - Crazy Awesome Drummer
As Tyson Meade continues to drum-up publicity for his kick starter album campaign, in a new interview he sheds a little more light on the involvement of one Jimmy Chamberlin;
READ MOAR (if you want)...Over the years, Jimmy and I have stayed in contact. When I came upon this idea to do this record in China with students I immediately thought it would be the perfect chance to work with Jimmy because I have always loved his crazy awesome drumming.

China Crash
Thanks to our good friend anonymous, we got a tip that Chamberlin will be playing the drums for a new record by Tyson Meade. Meade, if you've never heard of him, is of influential & Billy Corgan favourite (who could have guessed) "Chainsaw Kittens".
In an interview with NewsOK, Meade outlines the soon to be kickstarted project and that; "his old friend, ex-Smashing Pumpkin Jimmy Chamberlin, has agreed to play drums on the album."
So this
plus Chamberlin, could be rather interesting...
