Chamberlin Renames 'THIS' - 'SKYSAW'


Highlights from the Shamon Durek interview...
  • 'THIS' is now called 'SKYSAW' will be touring next year sometime > Spring/Summer 2011.
  • They have 'inked a deal' with Dangerbird.
  • Jimmy has been working with Shaman Durek, on a record. 
  • Lots of stuff about resonance, harmony & 'spiritual stuff'... JC is reading, rather, listening to an [audio]book "The China Study".
  • JC has been playing the drums for 38 years... :O

    Skysaw is a cool name. Dangerbird is a legit label. Don't know about all that other stuff, but more power to him.

    Would love to hear some slightly heavier stuff than what's on the This release--but I suspect JC might need a break from heavier music.

    Hadn't noticed it before, but does it look like he's using a remote hi-hat (near the ride) in that picture? Didn't think he'd done that since early '96.

    "Skysaw" is a lot easier to getting meaningful results from Google than "This" is!!

    Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness is the third album by The Smashing Pumpkins, released October 24, 1995 on Virgin Records. Produced by frontman Billy Corgan with Flood and Alan Moulder, the twenty-eight-track album was released as a two-disc CD and triple LP. Led by the single "Bullet with Butterfly Wings", the record debuted at number one on the Billboard charts, the first and only such occurrence for the group. The album spawned five more singles—"1979", "Zero", "Tonight, Tonight", the promotional "Muzzle", and "Thirty-Three"—over the course of 1996, and has been certified nine times platinum by the RIAA.
